11282011FTXDr. Frank Tian Xie is Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of South Carolina Aiken. Prior to his appointment at USC Aiken, Dr. Xie was on the faculty of business at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Professor Xie obtained his Ph.D. in marketing and MBA in finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, and B.S. in science from Peking University in Beijing, China.

A native of China and an expert on Chinese business & economy, Dr. Xie is a columnist on business for New Epoch Weekly, a global Chinese language magazine. His research interest includes marketing strategy, business-to-business marketing, international marketing, and research methodology. His research appears on journals such as Journal of Business Market Management, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Journal of Interactive Advertising, and Journal of Marketing Channels. He serves on the editorial review boards of Industrial Marketing Management (IMM), Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing (JBIM), Journal of Business Strategies (JBS), Journal of Financial Services Marketing (JFSM), and Journal of International Marketing (JIM).

Before his career in academia, Dr. Xie had eight years of industry experience serving in managerial and consulting positions in companies such as Airtouch Cellular (now Verizon Wireless), SunTrust Equitable Securities, and Innotrac Corporation. His consulting clients include Economic Development Partnership of Aiken, United States Postal Services, Hutchins & Rea Music, and Apeks International Corporation.

Dr. Xie has spoken in many seminar and panel discussions at the Unites Nations in New York City and Geneva, Columbia University, Princeton University, Yale University, Trinity College, University of Toronto, and in countries such as Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Peru, Argentina, and Chile. He has appeared on global media such as Radio Free Asia (RFA), Tokyo Shimbun, New Tang Dynasty TV, and Sound of Hope Radio International.
